Free Wifi, 2016 (work in progress)

Access to the internet can become an issue when you have no permanent residence or when traveling. While in Blackpool, Nina Koennemann broadcast 37 live video streams from various locations across Blackpool that offer free wifi. Some of the streams included comments by local artists and friends from other cities.

Nina used her time in residence in Blackpool to develop a live video performance at Oststation, Vienna undertaken in summer 2016.

Nina has presented additional iterations of the Free Wifi project at Museum Brandhorst, München (Free Wifi 2, 2017), Centre Pompidou, Paris/ KW, Berlin (Free Wifi 3, 2017) and Fotografie heute, Pinakothek der Moderne, München (Free Wifi 4, 2018)
